Southern Cross Gold Reports Strong Infill Drill Results at Sunday Creek Project

Southern Cross Gold Consolidated Ltd has announced positive results from infill drilling at its 100%-owned Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, Victoria. The drilling has revealed high-grade gold and antimony deposits, tightening the high-grade cores and adding new vein sets 50 meters to the west of the Golden Dyke Prospect.

Infill drilling at the Golden Dyke Prospect has delivered high-grade composite intersections, not just high-grade samples. SDDSC225, a key hole, returned 2.7 meters of 178.6 grams per tonne (g/t) AuEq (178.4 g/t Au, 0.1% Sb) from 662.3 meters, making it the 13th best composite intersection at Sunday Creek to date. This result was achieved on the GD40 vein set, with no drilling beneath it.

SDDSC218, another significant hole, produced a broadest high-grade composite of 6.8 meters at 50.1 g/t AuEq (49.8 g/t Au, 0.1% Sb) from 537.9 meters, approximately 380 meters below surface. This composite carries the highest individual assay in the release, with 1,290.0 g/t Au over 0.22 meters. Additionally, the hole returned three individual assays exceeding 20% Sb in the upper part of the block, including a peak of 53.50% Sb with 20.8 g/t Au over 0.35 meters.

SDDSC221, which infilled the main Golden Dyke area and pushed its western side, cut eight vein sets, three of which were not previously recognized within the current Exploration Target. This extension pushes Golden Dyke 30 to 50 meters west towards Christina. The hole confirmed the continuity of the GD80 vein set, intersecting it 13 meters along strike of SDDSC210 and 18 meters along strike of SDDSC171. SDDSC221 also returned 1.0 meters at 198.9 g/t AuEq (198.9 g/t Au, 0.0% Sb) from 680.0 meters, built from adjacent assays of 334.0 g/t Au and 447.0 g/t Au.

The infill drilling has reduced hole spacing within the block from approximately 50 meters to approximately 30 meters along strike by 15 to 20 meters laterally. The system is zoned, with antimony richest in the upper part of the block, where grades above 1% Sb persist across a broad central zone and the highest values exceed 5% Sb. Gold is dominant at depth, accompanied by silver of up to approximately 30 g/t Ag within sulphosalts that become more prominent with depth.

The company is currently operating 11 drill rigs and has 72 holes in the lab, with a 200,000-meter drill program continuing through to Q1 2027. Eight composite intersections in this release exceed 100 g/t Au, and twelve individual assays exceed 100 g/t Au, spread across four of the five holes. The composites carry the high individual grades rather than depending on them, showing the potential of the system when drilled closer.
