Sony introduces new ULT TOWER MAX, 7, and 5 speakers for party enthusiasts

Sony Electronics has introduced three new models to its ULT POWER SOUND series, enhancing the lineup with robust bass performance and versatile design for various party settings. The new ULT TOWER MAX, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER 5 are designed to deliver high-energy sound experiences, perfect for parties, DJ setups, and karaoke sessions.
Co-created with renowned hip-hop sound creators, including Grammy-nominated producer Dot Da Genius, award-winning drummer Daru Jones, record producer Dready, and audio engineer Dennis "ROC.am" Jones, the new speakers have been fine-tuned to offer deeper bass, greater impact, and clearer vocals. "We wanted to create a speaker that could bring the energy of a live event into any space," said Sony's audio engineer, Dennis "ROC.am" Jones.
Each model in the ULT TOWER series is equipped with Sony's signature ULT button, which offers four distinct sound profiles: ULT1 for deep, rich bass, ULT2 for powerful, body-shaking bass, FLAT for an exact reproduction of the original music, and LIVE for a live performance feel with clear vocals. Additionally, the speakers support Custom EQ adjustments via the Sony | Sound Connect app for even more personalized sound.
The new models feature a 360° Party Sound technology, which projects powerful audio throughout the room, ensuring clear vocals and impactful bass. The ULT TOWER MAX, with its three woofers, delivers the most powerful bass and sound pressure, while the ULT TOWER 7 and ULT TOWER 5 offer impressive bass and sound pressure in more compact designs.
Flexible connectivity options, including XLR, RCA, and USB-C, allow for easy integration into various setups. Lighting modes such as BEAT, WAVE, and MELLOW enable users to adjust the mood of the party, enhancing the overall experience. For karaoke enthusiasts, the optional ULTMIC13 microphone can be connected to provide an optimized vocal experience. The new Party Chain feature uses Auracast™ broadcast technology to synchronize music and lighting across multiple speakers, creating an unforgettable party experience.
Sony has also designed the new speakers with portability in mind, featuring carry handles and wider wheels for easier movement. The ULT TOWER 7 and ULT TOWER 5 even receive an IPX4 rating, making them suitable for outdoor use. With up to 30 hours of battery life on the ULT TOWER 7 and 20 hours on the ULT TOWER 5, users can enjoy continuous parties without interruption.
In support of the next generation of music and dance, Sony has secured a sponsorship with Red Bull for the Red Bull Dance Your Style 2026 events, including the National Final USA in September 2026 and the World Final in Switzerland in October 2026.
