Sobi to Present New Gamifant Data at Histiocyte Society Meeting

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 24, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Sobi, a global biopharma company, will present new clinical data on Gamifant® at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Histiocyte Society (HS2026), taking place from September 26 to 29 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The new clinical data will include a pooled analysis of pre- and post-transplant survival outcomes across three prospective trials, two encore presentations of analyses in primary HLH, and data from a post-authorisation study in treatment-experienced Chinese patients. According to Lydia Abad-Franch, MD, Head of R&D and Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Sobi, the new pooled analysis has been selected as one of the ten highest-scoring poster abstracts and nominated for the Robert J. Arceci Prize for Best Poster. This recognition underscores Sobi's significant scientific impact in the field.

Gamifant® (emapalumab) is the only approved anti-interferon gamma (IFNy) monoclonal antibody. It works by binding to and neutralising IFNy, which can cause hyperinflammation when secreted in an uncontrolled manner. Gamifant is indicated for the treatment of adult and paediatric patients with primary HLH with refractory, recurrent, or progressive disease or intolerance with conventional HLH therapy. It is also approved for the treatment of adult and paediatric patients with haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH)/macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) in known or suspected Still's disease with an inadequate response or intolerance to glucocorticoids, or with recurrent MAS.
