EPHRAIM, Utah, Oct. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Snow College has been awarded a $3 million federal grant to establish a comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) initiative aimed at preparing students, educators, and employers for an AI-enabled workforce.

The grant will allow Snow College to provide enterprise-level AI access to students, faculty, and staff, helping them explore the responsible and effective use of AI. It will also integrate AI literacy throughout the college experience, develop new AI credentials, and expand AI education through its statewide rural concurrent enrollment network. Additionally, the initiative will train K-12 educators and create new internship and apprenticeship opportunities with Utah employers.

The initiative will not only benefit Snow College students but also extend its reach to hundreds of rural high school students and educators each year, ensuring that they are prepared for the future of AI. The grant builds on work already underway at Snow College, where AI literacy and skills-based workforce preparation have been identified as institutional priorities. The initiative also leverages Snow's unique reach throughout rural Utah, including its role as the state's designated provider of interactive concurrent enrollment for rural school districts.
