ATLANTA, Sept. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- SlateSafety, an Atlanta-based technology company, has unveiled the BEACON V3, a next-generation worker exposure monitoring device designed for industrial sites. This multi-sensor, connected device aims to provide real-time, hyperlocal data to protect workers from various occupational hazards.
The BEACON V3 is built to operate independently of personal phones or complex IT infrastructure, making it a seamless addition to modern work environments. It can be deployed by being worn by personnel or mounted at the site. The device offers a comprehensive suite of safety features, including thermal monitoring, noise monitoring, and lone worker protection.
Thermal monitoring is a key feature of the BEACON V3, providing real-time data to protect workers from heat stress and adverse conditions. The device measures air temperature and relative humidity, air pressure and dew point, and calculates the heat index, humidex, and estimated wet bulb globe temperature (eWBGT). These metrics help ensure that workers are not exposed to extreme heat, which can lead to heat exhaustion and other heat-related illnesses.
Noise monitoring is another critical aspect of the BEACON V3. The device tracks noise levels to safeguard against long-term hearing damage. It measures sound pressure levels and calculates immediate and projected exposure using configurable weightings (A, C, or Z) and response times (Fast or Slow). The BEACON V3 also provides key metrics such as Leq, Dose, and Projected Dose, as well as Time Weighted Average (TWA) and Projected TWA. These measurements help employers understand the noise levels their workers are exposed to and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
Lone worker protection is a vital feature of the BEACON V3, ensuring that isolated personnel are never alone. The device includes GPS outdoors and coarse location indoors, immediate SOS/Panic Button capabilities, automated impact and fall detection, and no movement alerts for incapacitated workers. These features help employers quickly respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of their teams.
The BEACON V3 is designed for easy deployment with minimal operational interruption. It connects via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and cellular networks, featuring configurable transmission rates and alert thresholds. The device also seamlessly integrates with SlateSafety's BAND V2 physiological monitor, providing personal and environmental exposure levels across a unified ecosystem.
Zack Braun, CEO and co-founder of SlateSafety, stated, "Worker safety isn't one-dimensional, and neither are the environments they work in. By combining thermal monitoring, noise monitoring, and lone worker protections into a single, highly connected device, the BEACON V3 provides a unified picture of safety. It ensures that no matter the hazard or the location, safety leaders have the visibility they need to keep their teams out of harm's way."
Originally founded to support first responders, SlateSafety now protects teams operating in extreme environments against heat stress, noise, lone-worker risks, and other hazardous conditions. The company aims to bring reliable, rugged, and easy-to-use safety solutions to heavy industrial applications, putting the worker at the center of safety.
The BEACON V3 is now available for deployment at industrial sites. Organizations can equip their teams with this advanced safety monitoring device to ensure that workers are protected from various occupational hazards.
