SKYX Platforms Corp., an advanced smart home and AI technology company, has announced a merger with Deako Inc., a leading U.S.-based AI smart home provider, aiming to dominate the smart home, builder, and hotel markets. The merger, signed in the past five years, will combine SKYX’s patent portfolio with Deako’s extensive product lineup and market presence, creating a powerful platform for smart home solutions.

Over the past five years, Deako Inc. has shipped over 32 million units of its technologies, including smart home plug-in wall switches, generating more than $26 million in revenue in 2025. This significant market traction has made Deako a key supplier to over 50 U.S. builders, including well-known companies like D.R. Horton, Toll Brothers, and Risewell Homes. The merger is expected to leverage Deako’s builder market footprint, opening up new opportunities for SKYX’s technologies.

Deako’s lead investor and board member, Paul Jacobs, former Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm, and Marwan Fawaz, former CEO of Nest, are joined by Executive Chairman Scott Vertrees on the board. Derek Richardson, CEO and Founder of Deako Inc., will continue to lead the company, focusing on the builder, hotel, and professional markets.

As part of the merger, SKYX Platforms Corp. will issue common stock, totaling 25 million shares, representing 18.46% of the combined company. Current SKYX shareholders will maintain 84.4% ownership. Additionally, SKYX will pay Deako’s lender $4 million by closing and issue an $8.5 million note, with $2.25 million to be paid in the first quarter of 2027 and the remaining $6.25 million in the fourth quarter of 2027.

The combined company’s patent portfolio will expand to over 120 patents and patent pending applications, covering platforms, smart home, AI, and plug-and-play products. SKYX’s founder and Executive Chairman, Rani Kohen, expressed excitement about the merger, stating, "This collaboration will significantly grow our market penetration and offer future recurring revenue opportunities through plug-and-play product upgrades, AI services, monitoring, subscriptions, and licensing."

The merger addresses a significant market gap, as 90% of homes remain unsmart due to complex and costly wiring installations. SKYX and Deako aim to provide an instant, safe, and smart home solution through plug-and-play technologies, making it easier for builders, hotels, and consumers to adopt smart home innovations.

In a conference call scheduled for September 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time, both companies’ management will discuss the merger's aspects. Participants can dial in using the provided U.S. dial-in number (1-877-407-0792) or the international number (1-201-689-8263). This strategic move by SKYX Platforms Corp. and Deako Inc. is expected to revolutionize the smart home industry, providing a comprehensive and seamless solution for builders, hotels, and consumers.
