Skye Africa Intelligence, a company applying conversational AI to hospitality, health, and public-sector services in Africa, has announced the development of SafariOS, a conversational AI concierge designed for the Tanzanian hospitality market. The project, commissioned by Ernest Magesa's established Tanzanian tourism business, aims to provide hotel guests with assistance through a range of services, from property information and housekeeping to dining and transport guidance.
SafariOS, named for the visitor journey, is built on technology provided by Brand Engagement Network Inc. (BEN), a shareholder in Skye Africa Intelligence. The project is an independent commercial effort, separate from any official product of the Confederation of African Football or AFCON PAMOJA 2027, which will be jointly hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda from 19 June to 17 July 2027. Magesa's business in Arusha, Tanzania, provides a live hospitality environment for Skye to test and refine the service, leveraging local knowledge paired with governed conversational AI.
The first release of SafariOS focuses on hotel guest assistance, including property information, housekeeping and room-service requests, dining and transport guidance, and a path to a person when needed. The service is designed to expand beyond the initial hotel phase, potentially opening onto more of the visitor journey, such as restaurants, excursions, safari operators, and onward travel, as participating businesses come onto the platform.
He added, "AFCON will put a spotlight on this region. We are building a service that has to work in June 2027 and in the quiet months after that."
He continued, "Skye knows this market and runs the build. BEN supplies the technology and remains a shareholder."
Lefentse Nokaneng, CEO of Skye Africa Intelligence, emphasized, "Start with the hotel. Earn the rest of the journey. That is how a small team actually gets into a market the large platforms talk about."
Skye Africa Intelligence, majority-held by Valio Technologies, applies conversational AI to hospitality, health, and public-sector services in Africa. The company's technology is designed to connect human intent to organizational data, workflows, and real-world outcomes, operating within secure closed-loop environments using approved organizational data and built-in governance and compliance controls.
