Sirios Begins Drilling Program at Aquilon Gold Project

Sirios Resources Inc., a Quebec-based mineral exploration company, has commenced a 1,800-metre diamond drilling program at its Aquilon gold project in Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec. The project, a joint venture between Sirios and Sumitomo Metal Mining Canada, is funded 51% by Sumitomo and 49% by Sirios, with the latter acting as the operator.
The drilling program, which began on September 25, 2026, aims to confirm the lateral and depth continuity of a large gold halo discovered during the 2025 drilling program. This near-surface halo extends laterally for more than 700 metres from south to north and over a width of 300 metres, dipping eastward. The geological and structural interpretation of the area suggests that the gold halo is significant and warrants further exploration.

The Aquilon project, covering an area of 68 km², is part of a 51% Sumitomo - 49% Sirios joint venture. It is located 10 km south of the Laforge-1 hydroelectric power station and is easily accessible by all-season roads. To date, 32 gold showings have been discovered on the project, with some of the highest-grade drill intercepts including 3,527.4 g/t Au over 0.4 m (Moman showing) and 133.67 g/t Au over 0.8 m (Fleur-de-Lys showing).
