On Wednesday, 7 October 2026, Singapore hosted its first full-sized humanoid fight night, a groundbreaking event organized by ARC. The spectacle, held at *SCAPE, saw professional martial artists control Unitree G1 and EngineAI T800 humanoids in real time, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of combat sports.
More than 380 spectators gathered to witness this historic event, which featured Muay Thai, MMA, boxing, and Ninja Kungfu fighters. These athletes, including national and international champions, donned body sensors to pilot the humanoids, showcasing the potential of human-robot collaboration in a competitive setting.
The EngineAI T800 humanoid made its debut in Singapore, standing at 1.73 meters and weighing 75 kilograms. It paired with the 35-kilogram Unitree G1 in a new team format, where each side fielded one of each type of humanoid. The teams, named Iron Fang and Steel Shadow, competed in survival mode, allowing fighters from various disciplines to take turns piloting their respective avatars.
One of the highlights of the event was the lightweight fight, where Lukas Leasure, a US-born, Singapore-based professional MMA fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, piloted Iron Fang's Unitree G1. Leasure demonstrated exceptional skill, dropping low and countering to knock Steel Shadow's EngineAI T800 avatar to the mat. This moment elicited the strongest reaction from the audience, underscoring the excitement and potential of the new format.
The event also included a group humanoid dance, a dance battle, and a kung fu demonstration. A live heads-up display on the main screen tracked the health points of each humanoid, while a split feed showed the pilot and avatar side by side, allowing the audience to witness every move in real time.
Gai explained that ARC aims to showcase the potential of human-robot partnerships, rather than the replacement of human athletes.
The event represents the first step in a broader mission to establish a public arena for the humanoid era. ARC plans to host more international showcases over the coming months, with Singapore serving as the launchpad for adult-sized robot combat.
This pioneering event in Singapore marks a new chapter in the intersection of human and robotic capabilities, setting the stage for future developments in the realm of humanoid combat sports.
