Silver Dollar Resources Inc., a Canadian-based mineral exploration company, has provided an update on its ongoing exploration drilling program at the La Joya Silver (Cu-Au) Project, located in Durango, Mexico. The project, which is 100% owned by the company, is situated in the southeastern portion of the prolific Mexican Silver Belt and is part of a larger mineralized complex covering 2 by 3 kilometers.

According to Greg Lytle, President and CEO of Silver Dollar Resources Inc., the company is fully funded and plans to resume drilling in January. The recent exploration program tested five prospective targets outside the historic mineral resource areas on the Noria portion of the La Joya complex. A total of 3,633 meters of diamond drilling was completed in 13 holes, targeting various zones within the project.

The Road Zone, located in the upper part of the project, was the focus of holes NOR-26-031 to NOR-26-036. These holes were designed to test for extensions of previously reported gold mineralization. Specifically, hole NOR-21-004 intersected 19.2 grams per tonne (g/t) Au over 3 meters at a depth of 126 meters.

The North Side, situated approximately 250 meters below the Road Zone, was also targeted by the same set of holes. This zone was identified in historic hole LB96-04, which intersected 694 grams per tonne (g/t) Ag equivalent (AgEq) over 8.6 meters at a depth of 401 meters. This intercept was deeper than any previous drilling in the immediate area.

The Central Dyke, a target previously delineated over a strike length of 770 meters, saw 134 out of 170 samples (156 channel and 14 rock grab samples) returning assays greater than 100 g/t AgEq. Sample #161, taken from the bottom of a 15-meter-deep shaft called Hueco Grande, returned an impressive 3,823 g/t AgEq. A linear magnetic anomaly runs parallel to the Central Dyke and Hueco Grande, the deepest historic excavation on the trend, and drill hole NOR-26-037 targeted an area 120 meters below the shaft.

The El Brazo target, defined by an intercept of 535 g/t AgEq (420 g/t Ag, 0.41 g/t Au, 0.05% Cu, 1.97% Pb, and 3.9% Zn) over 5.0 meters in hole NOR-22-013, was also explored. Holes NOR-26-038 and NOR-26-039 were designed to test an area approximately 300 meters south of the main mineralization, along strike and coincident with a linear magnetic anomaly.

The Silica West, a quartz-carbonate vein system mapped over a strike length of 750 meters with widths of up to 40 meters, contained anomalous gold values, with samples assaying up to 2.46 g/t Au. The textures within the structure indicate that the company is in a higher level of an epithermal system. Four short holes (NOR-26-040 to NOR-26-043) tested this structure.

Silver Dollar Resources Inc. is optimistic about the results of this exploration program, which is expected to provide valuable information for future development plans at the La Joya Silver (Cu-Au) Project.
