LAGOS, Nigeria, Oct. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Sigenergy, a technology-driven company based in Shanghai and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (06656.HK), has launched its latest residential energy storage system, SigenStor Neo, in West Africa. The launch took place at Nigeria Energy 2026, an event currently underway at the Landmark Centre in Lagos from October 27 to 29.

SigenStor Neo is designed to integrate various energy sources, including solar, battery storage, and backup power, into a single, intelligent ecosystem. This system is particularly relevant for Nigerian households, which often rely on a combination of grid electricity and alternative energy sources. The launch marks Sigenergy’s continued expansion into key West African markets, including Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Togo.

At the heart of SigenStor Neo is its Smart Port and Backup Port architecture. This innovative design allows the system to connect compatible third-party inverters, external generators, and EV chargers, enabling a more integrated home energy system. For Nigerian households that use generator backup alongside grid electricity and solar, SigenStor Neo can help manage these resources more effectively. The system also supports the integration of additional backup resources, such as external generators, to provide extended power supply during unexpected grid outages.

One of the key features of SigenStor Neo is its ability to deliver 0 ms load-side disruption and up to 200% peak power output capacity. This ensures that household loads can continue operating seamlessly when grid power is interrupted. The dedicated Backup Port provides flexible extended power supply, while the Smart Port enables the incorporation of additional backup resources. Together, these capabilities offer homeowners greater flexibility in managing their energy needs.

SigenStor Neo is also designed to grow with the household. Its modular architecture supports up to six vertically stacked battery modules, allowing homeowners to configure storage capacity based on their current requirements while retaining the ability to expand the system as their energy needs evolve. The system also incorporates an eight-layer protection architecture, providing comprehensive protection throughout operation.

The all-in-one design of SigenStor Neo integrates the inverter, battery, power conversion system (PCS), energy management system (EMS), and gateway into a single streamlined platform. This reduces the number of separate components required within a residential energy system and simplifies the overall installation architecture. Lightweight modules with lifting handles, a single side cover for wiring, and an optimised terminal layout and installation process further reduce deployment time and on-site labour.

Sigenergy’s "AI in All" strategy is also reflected in SigenStor Neo. The system forms part of the company’s wider energy ecosystem, with artificial intelligence integrated throughout. At the heart of this intelligent management layer is SigenAgent, the energy industry's first all-domain AI agent, operating through mySigen App 4.0. This AI-driven platform enables users to define broader objectives, such as reducing electricity costs or maintaining sufficient backup power. The system can then analyse operating conditions and coordinate connected hardware in support of those objectives.

The launch of SigenStor Neo at Nigeria Energy 2026 marks the system’s introduction to the West African market. Nigeria provides a strong platform for the regional launch, with growing interest in distributed solar, energy storage, and flexible residential energy solutions. By bringing together solar, storage, grid electricity, backup resources, and AI-driven energy management within one integrated ecosystem, SigenStor Neo introduces a new level of flexibility for homeowners seeking greater control over their energy.
