In her new role, Bogar is focused on ensuring that both employers and medical assistants recognize the AAMA as the exclusive professional home for all medical assistants. She emphasizes the importance of medical assistants being part of the AAMA to ensure they are educated, empowered, and equipped to provide the best possible care to providers, patients, and teammates. Bogar also highlights the need for employers to offer their medical assistants the best resources for quality continuing education, with the AAMA standing ready to be that partner.
Bogar's leadership experience within the AAMA is extensive. She has served as Vice President (2025-2026), Speaker of the House (2023-2024), Vice Speaker (2022-2023), and Trustee (2018-2022). The AAMA, established in 1956, serves the interests of thousands of medical assisting professionals. The organization provides quality resources and educational opportunities for medical assistants through certification, advocacy for quality patient-centered health care, credential acknowledgment, and scope-of-practice protection. The AAMA's commitment to the medical assisting profession is evident in its long-standing history and its ongoing efforts to support and empower medical assistants.
