SGS Expands Bicycle Testing Network Across Three Continents

SGS, a global leader in testing and certification services, has expanded its network of CPSC-accredited bicycle laboratories across three continents, adding new facilities in Vietnam, Germany, and the United States. This expansion brings the total number of CPSC-accredited laboratories to five, with locations in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Waltrop, Germany; Bentonville, Arkansas, USA; Taiwan; and China.

The new laboratories in Vietnam, Germany, and the US are strategically positioned to provide manufacturers with closer access to testing and compliance services. This move is aimed at enhancing efficiency and accelerating market access for bicycle and e-mobility products. The expansion of SGS's network is particularly significant as the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advances electronic filing (e-Filing) requirements for certificates of compliance associated with regulated consumer products. This development underscores the importance of accredited laboratory data in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
