SENTRON S.A.I., a technology company founded by Gregory Hilz, a technology entrepreneur and commercial real estate developer with over 40 years of experience, has unveiled a patent-pending AI execution authority called THE ARK. This system aims to provide a layer of control outside artificial intelligence (AI) systems, ensuring that AI actions are verified and authorized before they can be executed.
According to the press release, THE ARK operates as a single command authority between AI and the real world. Any action initiated by AI, regardless of the source, is locked and must be confirmed by THE ARK. The system verifies the origin and permission of each request, weighs competing instructions, and releases the action only after repeated verification. If an action cannot be verified, it is escalated to sovereign oversight for approval or termination.
The protection offered by THE ARK is described as comprehensive. The system is designed to operate at the speed of machines, ensuring that no action can be taken on an AI's word alone. It is built to the security standards of the electric grid, with components operating in under one millisecond. The portfolio includes seven applications and 178 claims, covering three key inventions: Command Authority, The Enterprise Gateway, and Sovereign Oversight.
Command Authority places a single command authority outside the AI wherever it meets the real world, such as critical infrastructure, commercial buildings, and enterprise systems. Every action is held, verified, re-verified, and logged before release. The Enterprise Gateway provides a governed entry point for any organization to connect its existing AI to THE ARK, ensuring that all operations are conducted under the same command authority and highest level of security. Sovereign Oversight ensures that unverified actions are escalated to government, public-safety, and emergency authorities for approval or termination.
The release notes that THE ARK addresses the urgent need for AI protection, as highlighted by industry and government leaders. Of the 28 public statements on what AI protection requires, 81% of the named requirements are already included in THE ARK's applications. The remaining 19% is patent pending and not disclosed.
The White House, including the Office of Science and Technology Policy, and the Super Intelligence Force have been notified of THE ARK in writing. A white paper is available to qualified parties under a nondisclosure agreement. SENTRON S.A.I. has filed U.S. Provisional Application Nos. 64/129,198; 64/129,657; 64/231,032; 64/232,661; 64/232,719; 64/232,990; and 64/156,834, protecting the innovations within THE ARK's portfolio.
The release underscores the growing concern over AI's autonomy and the need for robust control mechanisms. SENTRON S.A.I.'s THE ARK is positioned as a solution to these challenges, providing a layer of verification and authorization that ensures AI actions are aligned with human oversight and decision-making.
