Sendero Resources Corp. has appointed Jeremy Gillis as its Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. This change comes as Alex Gostevskikh steps down from the role of CEO, but will remain on the Board of Directors and as a Consultant to the company.

Gillis brings over 25 years of international business experience, including the last 15 years in the natural resources sector. He has served as the Director of Corporate Development at Sendero since 2024. Prior to this, he held various senior positions at Yamana Gold, ultimately founding and leading Karus Mining Inc.

In his new role, Gillis expressed enthusiasm about the potential of the Peñas Negras project, located in the Vicuña District of Argentina. The project, which Sendero Resources owns 100% of, has demonstrated the potential to host multiple mineralized systems, including porphyry and high-sulfidation epithermal targets.

"Peñas Negras is a district in the making with geological similarities to neighboring deposits, offering significant exploration potential," Gillis stated. "With a fully funded $3.5 million drill campaign set to test these targets, we are well positioned to make a significant discovery in one of the world's most exciting copper-gold belts."

The company’s board of directors expressed their gratitude to Gostevskikh for his leadership and acknowledged his continued involvement with the company. They highlighted the strong backing of Sendero's cornerstone investors and the robust foundations in place for future growth.

"The Peñas Negras project has the potential to be a cornerstone of Sendero's exploration strategy," said Steven McMullan, a member of the board. "With our fully funded drill campaign and a district-scale exploration target, we believe we are well positioned to make a significant discovery."

Sendero Resources is focused on copper-gold exploration at its 100% owned Peñas Negras Project. The project is located in the Vicuña Belt in Argentina, an area known for its favorable geological characteristics. The project covers a total area of 211.77 km², with multiple targets identified for exploration.

Gillis commented, "We are fortunate to have the strong backing of our cornerstone investors, which affords us a springboard into our fully funded drill campaign. With a district in the making, I am excited for the near-term opportunities ahead for Sendero as we prepare to test multiple high-priority targets along a nine-kilometer-long trend."

The company’s target area is located approximately 12 km north-northeast of the Josemaria resource area, while the center of the Peñas Negras concession area is situated approximately 18 km southeast of the Caserones mine, operated by Lundin Mining. The project also has an option to earn a 100% interest on eight additional mining concessions covering 91.7 km².

Sendero Resources remains focused on advancing its exploration plans in the Vicuña Belt, with the goal of identifying and developing significant mineral resources. The company is well-positioned to capitalize on the potential of the Peñas Negras project as it moves forward with its exploration and development plans.
