Segers Aero Secures $343.2 Million T56 Engine Contract

Segers Aero Corporation has secured a significant contract to support the maintenance and repair of T56 engines for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and Foreign Military Sales programs. The ten-year contract, which includes a five-year base period and a five-year option, is valued at approximately $343.2 million.

The contract, administered by the Air Force Sustainment Center at Tinker Air Force Base, will see Segers Aero providing a wide range of services, including depot-level repair and overhaul, engineering support, logistics management, and the management of items subject to repair. This contract builds on the company’s existing support of military propulsion systems and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in the global T56 fleet.

The Rolls-Royce T56 turboprop engine powers multiple military aircraft platforms, including various C-130 Hercules variants, making its support critical for maintaining global readiness. Through this contract, Segers Aero will be responsible for supporting depot-level repair and overhaul requirements for engine modules, components, and related sustainment activities, ensuring the operational availability of the U.S. and allied fleets.

Based in Fairhope, Alabama, Segers Aero Corporation is an FAA-approved aircraft engine and propeller overhaul facility with a global customer base. As a Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center for the T56/501 engine, a Lockheed Martin Hercules QEC Service Center, and a Honeywell-approved fuel component service center, the company is well-equipped to handle the demands of this contract.
