Seabridge Gold Inc. has achieved a significant milestone in the development of its KSM Project with the successful energization of the Treaty Creek Terminal (TCT). This terminal, located approximately 2 kilometers north of the entrance to the KSM Project on Highway 37, marks a crucial step in providing reliable, clean, and economical hydroelectric power for the project.

Rudi Fronk, Chair and CEO of Seabridge Gold Inc., emphasized the importance of the TCT in a statement: "The Treaty Creek Terminal ensures that KSM has access to reliable, clean, and economic hydroelectric power, which not only reduces our carbon footprint but also lowers our operating costs."

The KSM Project, situated in northwestern British Columbia, is one of the world's largest undeveloped copper and gold projects held by a publicly traded company. With a total investment of over $1.2 billion to date, Seabridge Gold has committed to responsibly advancing the project, a significant portion of which has been spent on local businesses and workers.

The TCT is a key component of the electrical infrastructure required to support future construction and operations at KSM. The facility is expected to be fully operational by November 2026, providing the necessary power for the project's ongoing and future development phases.

The successful energization of the TCT represents a significant step forward for the KSM Project. This milestone underscores Seabridge Gold's commitment to sustainable development and responsible resource management in northwestern British Columbia.

According to Fronk, "BC Hydro's continued commitment to supporting responsible resource development in the region is greatly appreciated. This collaboration ensures that the KSM Project can proceed with the environmental and economic benefits that it brings."

Seabridge Gold's KSM Project holds the potential to be a significant long-term source of critical minerals. The project's substantial investment and focus on local engagement demonstrate the company's dedication to contributing positively to the regional economy and environment.

As the TCT comes online, Seabridge Gold remains focused on advancing the KSM Project towards its full development potential, ensuring that the project continues to serve as a cornerstone of sustainable resource development in the region.
