FREUDENSTADT, Germany, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- SCHMID Group N.V., a global leader in providing solutions for the electronics industry, has reported a significant increase in order intake and order backlog for the third quarter of 2026. The company recorded an order intake of €67.8 million, more than doubling from the €30.7 million reported in the second quarter of 2026. This increase includes a repeat order exceeding €37 million, announced on July 7, 2026. For the first nine months of 2026, the company's order intake stands at €111.7 million, with revenues amounting to €70.0 million.
As of September 30, 2026, the order backlog stood at €96.8 million, up from €54.8 million as of June 30, 2026. This growth in order intake and backlog indicates strong demand for SCHMID's equipment solutions, particularly in the electronics and semiconductor sectors. The company has also secured a significant equipment order of more than €25 million, which will support the expansion of advanced High-Density Interconnect (HDI) manufacturing capacity in Malaysia. More than €7 million of this order was recorded in the third quarter, with the remainder expected to be recorded in the fourth quarter.
SCHMID Group N.V. has maintained its full-year 2026 guidance for revenues, expecting more than €100 million. The company has also increased its order intake guidance from a range of €125 to €150 million to more than €150 million. The company attributes this increase to the progress of its ‘Sprint’ I efficiency program and the initial results of its “Sprint II” material cost savings program.
Headquartered in Freudenstadt, Germany, and founded in 1864, SCHMID Group N.V. employs more than 800 people worldwide and operates technology centers and manufacturing facilities in Germany and China, as well as sales and service locations globally. The company's solutions enable customers to achieve high technology levels, high yields, low production costs, maximum efficiency, quality, and sustainability in advanced manufacturing processes.
In a separate press release, SCHMID Group N.V. noted that its preliminary financial information for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2026 is unaudited and subject to change.
