NEW YORK and SÃO PAULO, Oct. 13, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Scanntech, the leading retail intelligence, data analytics, and marketing services platform in Latin America, has secured a $180 million Series F investment from L Catterton, the largest global consumer-focused investment firm. This substantial funding will support the company's continued expansion and development, enabling it to advance its analytics and AI capabilities, broaden its product suite, and enter new markets and consumer categories.
Founded in Uruguay in 1992, Scanntech has established itself as a key player in the region, providing retailers, consumer goods companies, and distributors with actionable market intelligence. The company's platform transforms granular, ticket-level point-of-sale data into actionable insights, helping businesses anticipate shifts in demand, develop more relevant products, and improve planning through pricing, promotions, assortment, and inventory management.
Scanntech's platform covers more than 80% of the retail sell-out in the markets where it operates, based on actual transactions rather than statistical expansion. This extensive coverage is made possible through direct connections to the point of sale, capturing actual transactions at scale. The company works with over 600 manufacturers, creating a data ecosystem that becomes richer and more valuable as the platform grows. This ecosystem supports decisions from strategy to store-level execution across sales, pricing, promotions, assortment, shopper insights, inventory, and supply chain management.
The investment will enable Scanntech to expand its geographic footprint and deepen its AI-powered solutions. L Catterton, with nearly four decades of consumer investing experience and a global operating capability, will bring its expertise to support Scanntech's growth.
Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry, will also support Scanntech through its deep operational expertise and track record of scaling high-growth businesses. The firm has around 2,000 professionals and over USD 186 billion in assets under management, with a team of over 200 investment and operating professionals across 18 offices. Together with management and existing shareholders, the firms will focus on accelerating geographic expansion and the development of new AI-powered solutions that generate more value for clients.
Warburg Pincus, Hindiana, IFC, and Endeavor will retain stakes in Scanntech following the transaction, reflecting their continued confidence in the company's long-term growth prospects. The investment is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. J.P. Morgan acted as the sole placement agent for the transaction.
With this significant funding, Scanntech is poised to continue its leadership in the Latin American retail intelligence market, providing unparalleled insights to businesses across the region.
