Scania Updates Scania Dynamic for Enhanced Driver Comfort and Energy Efficiency

SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden, Sept. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Scania, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has unveiled significant updates to its Scania Dynamic line, enhancing both driver comfort and energy efficiency. These improvements are designed to support a wide range of transport operations, from traditional combustion engines to battery-electric vehicles.

The new Scania Dynamic models feature a 2 percent reduction in total energy consumption, thanks to exterior updates that reduce air drag. These include digital rear-view mirrors, side skirt extensions, redesigned A-pillars, and new door handles. The changes are particularly beneficial for battery-electric vehicles, where lower energy consumption translates to reduced electricity use and improved range. For combustion engines, the reduction in fuel consumption can lead to lower operating costs and reduced emissions.

Interior updates have also been made to create a more driver-friendly environment. The new Scania Dynamic includes a premium interior with a modern color scheme and an increased use of recycled materials. Curtains are 100 percent recycled, while wall- and ceiling panels contain 70 percent recycled material. The use of recycled textiles for beds, rear walls, and ceilings contributes to a more sustainable cab environment.

Scania has also focused on improving driver visibility and comfort. The updated headlamps provide better visibility in dark conditions with extended high-beam range and a wider, brighter beam. Automatic high-beam functionality ensures optimal lighting without disturbing other road users. The 800 mm reclining bed option allows for flexible resting positions, with a back section that can be adjusted up to 60 degrees. Additionally, new seat designs enhance ergonomics and comfort, while interior lighting options, including Ambient+ with multiple solid colors and themes, allow drivers to tailor the cab lighting to their needs.

Safety and convenience are further addressed through the introduction of several driver assistance functions. Safe Stop Assist, Forward Distance Alert, and Vulnerable Road User systems support the driver in making daily operations less stressful. Speed Sign Cruise Control and Curve Speed Cruise Control help maintain smoother driving, supporting the driver without replacing their responsibility.

Other small but important details have been incorporated to improve the daily driving experience. A magnetic wireless charger provides 15 W charging power, keeping the phone in place and allowing air to circulate underneath to reduce heat build-up. An external glove hanger tray in the storage compartment allows wet or dirty gloves to be stored outside the cab, promoting a cleaner interior.
