Québec City, Québec, (Newsfile Corp. - September 21, 2026) - Scandium Canada Ltd. (TSXV: SCD), a critical advanced materials company developing North America's only vertically integrated primary source of scandium, from its Crater Lake project in Nunavoquik, has announced the appointment of Noel Dubé, P.Eng., to its Board of Directors and as Strategic Advisor to its subsidiary Scalium+. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors and is effective today, Monday, September 21, 2026.

Dubé, a long-standing shareholder of the Company, brings more than 20 years of technical and leadership experience in the technology sector. A graduate in Engineering Physics, he is a seasoned and active investor in Québec technology funds. He invests in numerous private investment funds and serves as a director, manager, and technical advisor to several companies, where he rigorously evaluates technologies, sales, and markets as well as strategic business plans.

Dubé's appointment strengthens the Board at an important stage in Scandium Canada's evolution. He has advised the Company since 2024 and understands both our technology and our strategy, so he comes to the Board with a deep understanding of the opportunity ahead. Dubé brings first-hand experience scaling technology businesses, commercializing highly technical products internationally, and evaluating companies as an active technology investor. Those capabilities are particularly relevant as we accelerate the commercialization of Scalium+ while continuing to advance the Crater Lake project.

In connection with this appointment, the Company also announces the grant of 500,000 stock options to Mr. Dubé in accordance with its stock option plan. Each option entitles the holder to acquire one common share of the Company at an exercise price of $0.22 for a period of five years ending on September 21, 2031. The stock options vest in accordance with the following schedule: 1/36 (approximately 2.78%) vests monthly starting on the last day of the month following September 21, 2026. The grant remains subject to final approval by the TSX Venture Exchange.
