ALAMEDA, Calif., Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Santa Ana Bio, a clinical-stage precision immunology company, is set to present preclinical data on its CD40-targeted glucocorticoid antibody-drug conjugate, SAB05, at the upcoming ACR Convergence 2026, the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR). The presentation, scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time, will take place in the Poster Hall.
According to Peter Emtage, Ph.D., the founder and CEO of Santa Ana Bio, the molecule aims to preserve the powerful effects of glucocorticoids while reducing their systemic exposure, which can lead to toxicity.
SAB05 is designed to deliver a highly potent glucocorticoid to CD40-expressing cells that drive autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The goal is to achieve cell-selective immunosuppression and disease control while sparing the patient from the systemic toxicity typically associated with glucocorticoid therapy.
The abstract for the presentation is available on the ACR Convergence 2026 abstract website. The session is part of the Rheumatoid Arthritis, Translational Models and Mechanisms Poster B. The presentation will be led by Nancy Emtage, Ph.D., a key researcher at Santa Ana Bio.
Santa Ana Bio's mission is to improve the lives of patients affected by chronic and life-impacting diseases through the development of innovative therapeutics that leverage a multi-omics platform. The company is advancing a portfolio of product candidates designed to address the biology underlying autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
