San Lorenzo Gold Expands Gold-Bearing Corridor at Quebrada Salada

San Lorenzo Gold Corp., a Canadian mineral exploration company, has announced significant progress at its Salvadora Project in Chile’s Atacama Region. The company has outlined a new 2-kilometer gold-bearing corridor at Quebrada Salada, a newly identified epithermal-style target. This discovery, which lies adjacent to existing IP (induced polarization) chargeability responses, marks an exciting development for the company.

The exploration update, released on September 17, 2026, highlights the ongoing efforts to expand the San Juan target footprint. New IP lines, D10 and D11, have been incorporated into the geophysical picture, extending beyond the current discovery drilling. The company is planning systematic step-out drilling from D8 towards the broad D9 response, with the aim of testing the substantial undrilled ground between the two lines.

San Lorenzo is also progressing an integrated 3D compilation of approximately a decade of geophysical work across the Salvadora Project. This comprehensive effort will support drill planning and assist in the generation and prioritization of new targets.

At the Cerro Blanco site, the company’s permitted drill program is underway. This program is designed to follow up on previously reported broad zones of gold mineralization and further test the scale and continuity of the Cerro Blanco system. Previous drilling at Cerro Blanco has returned multiple broad gold intercepts, including 153.5 meters grading 1.04 grams per tonne of gold.

The Quebrada Salada discovery is particularly compelling due to its proximity to existing IP coverage, where several chargeability responses are present. The target area, which includes multiple subparallel felsic dykes and iron oxide-quartz vein zones, has returned gold values up to 12.80 grams per tonne. The relationship between the surface mineralization and these subsurface responses has not yet been fully tested, making it a promising area for further exploration.

Terence Walker, Vice President of Exploration at San Lorenzo, commented on the potential of Quebrada Salada. "The combination of gold-bearing structures, felsic dykes, and nearby chargeability responses fits well with the exploration model we have been developing across Salvadora. San Juan demonstrated the value of using IP to identify blind targets, and the D9, D10, and D11 surveys are now giving us a much broader picture of the geophysical system surrounding that discovery."

The company’s exploration efforts are focused on expanding known mineralized systems and systematically defining the scale and potential of Salvadora’s broader mineralized systems. With large areas of the property still lightly explored, San Lorenzo believes there is substantial room for further discovery. The company remains optimistic about the potential of the Salvadora Project and is committed to advancing its exploration targets.
