Saab Reorganizes Management Team for Growth

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 10, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Saab, the Swedish aerospace and defense company, announced significant changes to its Group Management team on September 28, 2026, with the changes taking effect on October 1, 2026. These moves are aimed at supporting the company’s growth and innovation strategies.

Anders Carp, currently serving as the deputy CEO and responsible for several corporate functions, will take on a new role as the head of Saab's business area Dynamics. In this position, Carp will focus on driving the growth of the Dynamics portfolio, overseeing deliveries, and fostering innovation as the business area advances. Carp will continue to hold his deputy CEO position.

Görgen Johansson, who has been the head of business area Dynamics for 13 years, will leave the Group Management team. He will transition to a strategic advisory role for global operational growth and expansion, advising Saab’s CEO and President, Micael Johansson. Johansson expressed gratitude for Johansson's leadership, stating, "I would like to sincerely thank Görgen for his time in Saab's Group Management team. He has led business area Dynamics in an excellent way for the past 13 years, and the level of growth achieved during this time is truly impressive. I am also glad that Görgen, with his vast experience, will continue to bring value to Saab in his new role as strategic advisor to me."

Marcus Wandt, the current head of Group Strategy and Technology, has been appointed as the new head of Saab's business area Aeronautics. Wandt, known for his unique background as a fighter pilot, chief test pilot, and astronaut, as well as his leadership in Saab’s innovation, strategy, and technology function, will bring a solid understanding of both operational and technical leadership to his new role.

Lars Tossman, the current head of business area Aeronautics, will take on a new role as the head of the Group Strategy and Growth function. Tossman will remain a member of the Group Management team, leveraging his broad experience from industry and Saab to head the business development and strategy function, driving the company’s continued growth and expansion.

Furthermore, Mikael Adelsberg, Saab’s Chief Digital Officer, will assume additional responsibility for Saab’s IT operations starting October 1, 2026.
