DALLAS, TX, September 09, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Rusty Taco, the Dallas-based fast-casual neighborhood taco stand, is expanding its national footprint by opening new locations at Washington Dulles International Airport and Norfolk International Airport this fall. The brand’s growing presence in high-traffic environments, such as airports and convenience stores, underscores its adaptability and appeal to a broader range of customers.
The first Rusty Taco airport location opened in Concourse D at Washington Dulles International Airport in 2023, marking the beginning of the brand’s airport growth strategy. This fall, the company will add a second location in the same airport, Concourse E, further enhancing its presence in one of the country’s major travel hubs. The expansion is part of a partnership with Affinity LLC, an experienced foodservice operator with a long-standing presence at Dulles. This partnership highlights Rusty Taco’s commitment to serving travelers with fresh, flavorful street-style tacos in a convenient setting.
Additionally, Rusty Taco is set to launch a new airport location at Norfolk International Airport by the end of October, reinforcing its strategy to grow among East Coast travelers. The brand’s growth in airports represents a significant opportunity to introduce its unique concept to a new audience while continuing to serve loyal customers.
Beyond airports, Rusty Taco has also expanded into non-traditional venues such as convenience stores and college campuses. The brand has partnered with Good 2 Go Eats, a convenience store chain with 75 locations, to bring its street-style tacos to Ammon, Idaho. Eight additional locations are in the pipeline, with three already open in the Denver area. In early 2027, four more locations are scheduled to open, further solidifying Rusty Taco’s presence in the convenience store market.
Rusty Taco also has a presence at Salt River Fields, the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The brand has served fans at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for multiple seasons and will add another non-traditional location at Bowlski's, a Dallas-based bowling alley. These diverse locations demonstrate how Rusty Taco’s concept can adapt to different environments while maintaining the same made-to-order menu and guest experience.
David Gonzalez, Vice President of Development for Gala Capital Partners, the parent company of Rusty Taco, commented, "Our growth in airports and other non-traditional venues is a strong example of how we can adapt to different environments while still delivering the same fresh menu guests know and love. It's also an opportunity to introduce our brand to travelers from across the country who might be trying us for the first time."
Gonzalez added, "Rusty Taco was built around a simple idea: serve fresh, flavorful ingredients in handcrafted street-style tacos, along with great hospitality. That same approach gives us the flexibility to bring Rusty Taco to places that look very different from a traditional restaurant, and we see significant opportunity to continue growing in new and unexpected places."
With a growing portfolio of traditional and non-traditional locations, Rusty Taco is continuing to build its footprint while giving franchisees and partners new ways to bring the brand to new guests nationwide. The brand’s expansion into high-traffic environments like airports and convenience stores reflects its commitment to providing a convenient and quality dining experience to a broader audience.
