The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) has announced the recipients of its prestigious 2026 awards, recognizing 41 outstanding Canadian scholars, artists, and scientists for their significant contributions to knowledge and their impact both nationally and internationally.
Among the 17 RSC Awards, 17 eminent individuals have been honored for their exceptional work in various disciplines. These awards aim to highlight the remarkable excellence and diversity of Canada’s scholarly community. In addition to the RSC Awards, the Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella Prize has been awarded to 24 law students. This prize recognizes the potential of these students to advance equity and social justice in Canada. The recipients of the Abella Prize are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to these principles and their future potential to shape a more inclusive society.
