Rönesans Holding, a leading international construction firm, has been named among the world's top 50 international contractors for the 11th consecutive year, as per the latest ranking by Engineering News-Record (ENR). The company’s consistent performance reflects its strong global presence and robust project execution capabilities.

Over the past three decades, Rönesans has expanded its operations to nearly 40 countries, completing over 1,000 projects and generating USD 50 billion in international project revenue. The company has partnered with 3,500 Turkish manufacturers and subcontractors, bringing Turkish engineering expertise and production capacity to markets around the world. Rönesans has employed 28,853 Turkish professionals, including 3,500 engineers and architects, on its international projects, with a total workforce of 271,888 involved in these initiatives.

Dr. Erman Ilıcak, President Emeritus of Rönesans Holding, reflected on the company’s journey, noting, "Eleven years is a long time to hold your ground. Rönesans’ international portfolio includes significant projects such as the Lakhta Center, Europe's tallest building, the Gotthard Base Tunnel beneath the Swiss Alps, and the Gaasperdammertunnel in the Netherlands, the country's longest highway tunnel. The company has also been involved in a natural gas to gasoline production plant in Turkmenistan, showcasing its expertise in diverse engineering and construction sectors.

The economic impact of Rönesans’ international work extends beyond its project revenues. Through its collaborations with over 3,500 Turkish manufacturers and subcontractors, Rönesans has procured and exported over USD 2 billion worth of goods and services over the past decade. This work not only provides a pathway for Turkish companies to enter new markets but also gives Turkish engineers, architects, and managers valuable experience on some of the world's largest projects.

In Europe, Rönesans continues to play a pivotal role in the construction sector. The company’s strategic acquisitions, including a 10% stake in Austrian construction group PORR in 2009, and subsequent acquisitions of Heitkamp, Germany's established engineering firm, in 2014, and Dutch construction company Ballast Nedam in 2015, have further solidified its presence in the region. After a thorough restructuring, Ballast Nedam returned to profitability within three years, highlighting Rönesans’ ability to integrate and strengthen its international portfolio.
