EDMONTON, Alberta, Sept. 08, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Rogers and OEG Sports & Entertainment have extended their strategic partnership for an additional 10 years, ensuring that Rogers Place will remain the home of the Edmonton Oilers until 2036. This agreement, announced as Rogers Place celebrates its 10-year anniversary, is part of a broader commitment to supporting and connecting communities in Edmonton and across the region.

The partnership renewal was announced by Tony Staffieri, President and CEO of Rogers, who stated, "This long-term extension reflects the strength of our partnership with the Edmonton Oilers and the shared belief that hockey connects communities. We are proud to celebrate 10 years of Rogers Place with Oilers fans, and to continue investing in unique experiences that bring fans and customers closer to the game."

To commemorate the occasion, Rogers is awarding over 1,500 Oilers tickets to customers throughout the upcoming season, starting with 300 tickets for the Home Opener on September 29, against the Vancouver Canucks. Details on how customers can win tickets for the home opener will be announced shortly.

Ahead of the home opener, Rogers is organizing Oilers Fan Day on September 19, a community event that includes an open practice, an alumni meet and greet, and a locker room sale. Additionally, the Rogers Goal Cam at Rogers Place will allow fans to instantly capture and share their live in-arena reactions to every Oilers goal throughout the season.

Rogers continues to be the presenting partner of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 50/50 and Every Kid Deserves a Shot program, while also providing extensive brand and advertising placements, arena signage, concourse, rink, in-ice, in-bowl, and in-game applications.

Hugh Weber, CEO of OEG Sports & Entertainment, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "For the past decade, Rogers has shared our commitment to supporting and connecting communities across Oil Country and creating exceptional experiences for Oilers fans, both at Rogers Place and through the Sportsnet broadcast. As we celebrate 10 years of Rogers Place and ICE District, this long-term extension is a testament to the strength of our partnership, and we're excited about what we can create for Oilers fans over the next decade."

This agreement builds on the existing 12-year deal signed in 2013, which includes national media rights to NHL games on all platforms in Canada through the 2037-38 season. Sportsnet remains the exclusive regional broadcast partner of the Edmonton Oilers through 2035.

Rogers, known for its comprehensive communications, sports, and entertainment offerings, is committed to enhancing the fan experience and supporting local communities. Through this extended partnership, both companies aim to continue delivering unique and memorable experiences for hockey enthusiasts and local residents alike.
