Rockwell Automation has launched a new cybersecurity-focused season of ROKStudios, its thought leadership video series. The new season aims to explore how manufacturers are enhancing their cyber resilience in the face of increasing threats and the convergence of IT and operational technology (OT) environments.
According to Rockwell Automation, the latest season of ROKStudios features in-depth interviews with global manufacturers and cybersecurity experts. The series delves into the challenges and strategies for building secure industrial operations, drawing on insights from the company’s 11th Annual State of Smart Manufacturing Report.
John Speakman, director of cybersecurity services for EMEA at Rockwell Automation, emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in operational resilience. “Organizations are operating in a more complex and connected environment than ever before,” said Speakman. “Cybersecurity has become fundamental to operational resilience. These discussions highlight how manufacturers can move beyond compliance toward building the capabilities needed to manage risk, maintain continuity, and secure their operations at scale.”
The new season includes interviews with key industry leaders, including: - Andrew Peckston, head of supply chain cybersecurity and infrastructure at Mondelēz International, who discusses how manufacturers are elevating cybersecurity to a strategic business priority. - Steve Lynn, director of engineering at William Grant & Sons, who provides practical insights on building OT cybersecurity, focusing on foundational capabilities such as asset visibility, network segmentation, and disciplined risk management. - Maria Else, global product manager for cybersecurity at Rockwell Automation, and John Speakman, who examine the impact of evolving regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and how manufacturers must embed security across the full lifecycle, from design to operation and ongoing support. - Barry Long, business manager for lifecycle services in the UK and Ireland, who discusses how manufacturers are addressing "operational fragility," driven by aging assets, workforce challenges, and rising cyber risk.
Across all interviews, a consistent theme emerges: cybersecurity is foundational to digital transformation and the ability to scale advanced technologies such as AI and automation. The new episodes join more than 170 previous recordings available through the ROKStudios platform, offering a growing library of insights from manufacturing leaders, technology partners, and domain experts.
The launch of this new season of ROKStudios is part of Rockwell Automation’s ongoing commitment to supporting manufacturers in building secure and resilient operations. By sharing practical strategies and real-world perspectives, the series aims to help organizations navigate the evolving landscape of cybersecurity and ensure the continuity of their industrial operations.
