MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 13, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Restaurant Technologies (RTI), the leading provider of automated commercial kitchen solutions, has released its 2026 Impact Report, highlighting the company’s continued growth and sustainability efforts in the food service industry. The report showcases RTI’s significant contributions to reducing waste and carbon emissions through its innovative solutions and partnerships.

According to the report, RTI recycled 393 million pounds of used cooking oil (UCO) in 2025, alongside delivering 719.4 million pounds of fresh cooking oil in bulk. This effort helped eliminate 19.3 million plastic oil jugs, saving 8.9 million cubic feet of landfill space and avoiding an estimated 80.1 million pounds of CO2e emissions from eliminated packaging. RTI’s partnership with Phillips 66 to supply traceable UCO to one of the world’s largest renewable fuels facilities, the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex, further underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability.

In 2025, RTI expanded its reach by delivering 6.5% more fresh cooking oil while decreasing its annual fleet mileage by 10.4% and achieving a 3.5% reduction in fleet greenhouse gas emissions through smarter routing, predictive technology, and virtual service support. The company’s Virtual Technician program resolved more than 13% of inbound service calls remotely, reducing in-field service visits by about 1,300 each month. This initiative not only improved operational efficiency but also contributed to RTI’s overall sustainability goals.

RTI’s focus on employee safety and culture is evident in the company’s recognition by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work for the fourth consecutive year and sixth year overall. In 2025, RTI conducted 3,050 hours of employee safety training, expanded its team with over 10 certified safety trainers, and involved more than 800 employees in online courses on respect, fairness, and recognizing unconscious bias. Since its establishment in 2013, the RTI Educational Foundation has raised $1 million and awarded more than 100 scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Additionally, RTI employees raised $148,000 during Bright Futures Week, the company’s annual campaign supporting the foundation.

Since 1999, RTI has operated 41 depots nationwide with more than 1,300 employees, providing automated commercial kitchen solutions for quick-service and full-service restaurant chains, independent restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, hotels, resorts, casinos, and hospitals. Its Total Oil Management® solution minimizes the risks of manual cooking oil handling by delivering, storing, filtering, monitoring, collecting, and recycling cooking oil. RTI partners with renewable energy providers to convert used cooking oil into renewable fuels, contributing to a more sustainable business model.
