Resorts World New York City and Resorts World Catskills concluded a successful Labor Day weekend, featuring headlining performances by comedians Tracy Morgan, Chris Distefano, and Deon Cole. The events spanned both properties, marking a significant milestone since the opening of the first live table games in April.
Resorts World New York City hosted a series of private dining experiences over three nights, with celebrity chef Nas as the host. The invitation-only events brought renowned restaurants from the city’s culinary scene to the resort. On Friday, the Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi restaurant offered a unique menu drawing on Caribbean, African, Black American, and New York influences. Saturday saw Don Angie, a 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist, with its innovative takes on Italian-American cuisine. Sunday featured Coqodaq, known for its Korean fried chicken paired with Champagne and caviar.
Late-night entertainment was provided by a guest-list-only party at 3Q, with performances by Remy Ma, Fabolous, and Max B, alongside DJs Clue and Webstar. The venue, the 3Q Blue Room, was open throughout the weekend with a specialized cocktail menu.
The comedy shows at Resorts World Catskills included sets by Tracy Morgan, who played both the Catskills and New York City venues. Chris Distefano, a Ridgewood native, performed a hometown show. Deon Cole closed out the weekend at Catskills, with fireworks, live music, DJ sets, and food trucks adding to the festivities.
This weekend showcased the growing entertainment offerings at Resorts World, particularly at the New York City location. Since the opening of the first live table games in April, the property has seen rapid expansion, including the recent start of Phase 2 of a $5.5 billion investment. This phase includes a 400-room hotel tower, a 7,000-seat multi-purpose arena, and additional dining and event spaces.
Kevin Jones, President of Genting Americas East, emphasized the significance of the weekend. "This weekend demonstrated the potential of the new offerings at Resorts World," he stated. "Two of the biggest names in comedy, sold-out rooms from Queens to the Catskills, and thousands of New Yorkers finding a night out right at home, these are the experiences we aim to provide."
The entertainment calendar at both properties will continue to build through the fall and into 2027, with Genting Rewards members receiving first access to every show on the calendar. Membership is free and available on the Resorts World New York City website.
The expansion at Resorts World New York City is part of a broader vision to transform the area into a fully integrated resort with gaming, hospitality, entertainment, dining, and more. Since opening in 2011, the property has generated over $5 billion in support of New York State's public education system while welcoming millions of guests annually.
