Berlin, September 4, 2026, RayNeo, a global leader in consumer augmented reality (AR) glasses, unveiled its latest innovations at the IFA 2026 electronics and technology exhibition. The company showcased the RayNeo iO Smart Glasses and the RayNeo GT Series, which feature Dolby Vision playback and a lightweight heads-up display, respectively.
At the launch event held in Hall 21A, RayNeo's product and design teams presented the new AR glasses alongside partners Dolby Laboratories and Bang & Olufsen. The collaboration aims to deliver premium visual and audio experiences in lightweight consumer AR glasses.
The RayNeo GT Series stands out as the world's first AR glasses set to support Dolby Vision playback. During live demonstrations, Max, RayNeo's North America Marketing Manager, highlighted how the GT Series integrates a cinematic personal display with Dolby Vision and audio co-tuned by Bang & Olufsen. RayNeo's Head of Industrial Design, River, demonstrated the iO's design, explaining how the team incorporated a near-eye display into a lightweight frame for daily wear.
Both the RayNeo GT Max and RayNeo iO Smart Glasses were honored as IFA Innovation Award 2026 finalists, underscoring RayNeo's commitment to innovation in the AR industry.
Max explained, "The GT Series combines a cinematic personal display with Dolby Vision playback and audio co-tuned with Bang & Olufsen, providing an immersive viewing experience." He added, "The iO is designed for daily use, offering a discreet heads-up display that surfaces everyday information without requiring users to constantly look down at another screen."
Arkin Kol, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships for Europe at Dolby Laboratories, stated, "Dolby Vision is the future of picture technology, dynamically optimizing the image quality to deliver stunning visuals every time. With the RayNeo GT Series and RayNeo Pocket TV Pro, users can enjoy their favorite content in Dolby Vision on major streaming platforms."
Anders, Global Head of Consumer Electronics at Bang & Olufsen, elaborated, "The tuning process focused on delivering convincing bass without compromising clarity, resulting in a smoother, more natural midrange. This enhances the audio experience for films, music, and games, even in the compact form factor of smart glasses."
The RayNeo iO Smart Glasses, weighing just 33 grams, feature a glanceable Dashboard that displays schedules, weather, navigation cues, and smartphone notifications. They also support live captions, multilingual translation, hands-free teleprompting, and voice recording with AI-generated summaries. Users can switch between supported large language models for different tasks, and subtle head-gesture controls enable interaction without disrupting the moment.
Counterpoint Research ranked RayNeo as the global leader in AR glasses shipments for the first half of 2026, while IDC placed the company as the global and Chinese leader in AR glasses shipments. The global recognition builds on RayNeo's continued strength in its home market, as CINNO Research, RUNTO, and AVC also ranked the company as the top player in key AR/AI and smart-glasses market segments in China.
