Quimbaya Gold Completes Initial Drill Program at Tahami Center

Quimbaya Gold Inc. has announced the completion of its initial drill program at the Tahami Center, part of the company’s Tahami Project in Segovia, Antioquia, Colombia. The program, consisting of six holes totaling 2,927.9 meters, was carried out between May 21 and August 17, 2026, with the goal of testing the copper-molybdenum porphyry system identified through surface mapping and three-dimensional magnetic inversion.

All six holes intersected the targeted porphyry system, which is seen as a promising indicator of mineralization potential. The deepest hole, TCDH-006, reached a total depth of 658.85 meters and provided valuable geological insights. Potassic alteration, characterized by potassium feldspar, secondary biotite, and magnetite, was observed over a 563-meter interval, starting from 96 meters. Within this interval, TCDH-006 also recorded the presence of fine-grained aplitic granodiorite porphyry, known as the principal intramineral phase, extending from 294 meters to 444.40 meters. This phase was marked by a high density of veinlets, including up to 50 to 60 quartz, chalcopyrite, and molybdenite veinlets per meter.

Chalcopyrite and molybdenite veinlets were visually identified in the core samples, alongside pyrite. The mineralization is described as variable, with chalcopyrite present in high-temperature "M", "A type", and "EB type" veinlets, while "EDM type" veinlets with biotite halos contained molybdenite. TCDH-006 also intersected hydrothermal-magmatic breccias, further confirming the presence of the porphyry system.

The other five holes, TCDH-001, TCDH-002, TCDH-003, TCDH-004, and TCDH-005, also intersected various phases of the porphyry system. TCDH-001 recorded a leached and oxidized cap, followed by hydrothermal and hydrothermal-magmatic breccias, intramineral porphyry, and a potassic core. TCDH-002 and TCDH-003 intersected breccias, porphyry, and secondary biotite and magnetite alteration, while TCDH-004 identified disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite, along with "A type" and "EDM type" veinlets. TCDH-005, which intersected crowded-texture intermineral porphyry from 137 meters to approximately 391 meters, was noted for its marginal mineralization.

Quimbaya Gold’s President and CEO, Alexandre P. Boivin, commented on the results, stating, “All six holes intersected the porphyry system as predicted by our exploration model. This drilling has given us the alteration zoning and the principal intramineral porphyry, which will guide future drilling within the porphyry system.”

The initial drill results are pending assay, with expected release in late September or October 2026. The next phase of the program includes drilling TCDH-007, which has been collared approximately 410 meters northeast of TCDH-006, targeting a planned depth of 300 meters.

The company has implemented a robust quality assurance and quality control program, including the regular insertion of certified reference materials, blanks, and field duplicates into the sample stream. Samples have been submitted to SGS, an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, for analysis.
