Questcorp Discovers Near-Surface Gold at Union Norte

Questcorp Mining Inc. has announced significant findings at its La Union Project in northwestern Sonora, Mexico. The company, through its Phase 2A summer 2026 drilling campaign, has identified near-surface gold and polymetallic mineralization at the Union Norte district, bolstering the potential for a larger mineralized system at the site.

According to the results, two drill holes, UND26-015 and UND26-014, intersected the NNW-trending mineralized feeder structure at shallow depths. Specifically, UND26-015 returned a 14.60-meter interval grading 0.45 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent (AuEq) from 1.00 meters, including 5.60 meters grading 0.96 g/t AuEq and 4.60 meters grading 1.09 g/t AuEq. UND26-014, meanwhile, returned 9.10 meters grading 0.76 g/t AuEq from 1.90 meters, including 4.50 meters grading 1.18 g/t AuEq and 1.50 meters grading 3.38 g/t AuEq.

These results confirm the continuity of the interpreted mineralized structure between adjacent drill sections, providing clear targets for follow-up drilling along strike and down-dip. The company's exploration efforts at Union Norte have also refined the understanding of the historic Sproul manto/replacement system at the Union Mine. Anomalous lead and zinc values support this interpretation and provide vectors for deeper follow-up drilling toward the interpreted feeder structure beneath the Union Mine.

Additionally, the Induced Polarization (IP) surveying at Luis Hill delineated a large chargeability anomaly extending for more than 1 kilometer along strike and to approximately 300 meters depth. This anomaly coincides with sediment-hosted gold mineralization identified during the Phase 1 program and remains open along strike and at depth. The target has not yet been adequately drill-tested, suggesting significant exploration potential.

The Phase 2A program, conducted in partnership with Riverside Resources Inc., has significantly advanced the company's understanding of the La Union mineral system. President and CEO Saf Dhillon commented, "Phase 2A has materially advanced our understanding of the La Union mineral system and provided clear geological vectors for the next stage of drilling. At Union Norte, two adjacent shallow holes have now demonstrated continuity of the interpreted mineralized feeder structure, while at Luis Hill the IP program has defined a large target coincident with previously identified sediment-hosted gold mineralization that remains largely untested."

The upcoming Phase 2B program, scheduled to resume after the rainy season, will focus on systematic testing of the continuity, scale, and higher-grade portions of the mineralized systems. The company's objective is to advance the project toward a potentially meaningful discovery. Dhillon added, "From a capital allocation standpoint, we are deliberately sequencing this program so that exploration spending is directed at targets already defined by more than one dataset."

According to John-Mark Staude, President and CEO of Riverside Resources, the operator at La Union, "We are pleased with the progress made during the initial portion of Phase 2 drilling. The near-surface intercepts at Union Norte confirm the interpreted feeder structure and provide clear vectors for follow-up drilling. The IP work has also strengthened the target inventory at Luis Hill and Jabali."

The company plans to continue testing these targets as the geological model evolves, aiming to identify additional opportunities for mineralization across the Union district. With a district-scale land position, a technically coherent carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) and sediment-hosted gold model, and a continually defined drill program, Questcorp Mining Inc. is well-positioned to pursue significant exploration success at La Union.
