The company has appointed Yossi Cohen, the former chief of Mossad, as the President of its Scientific Advisory Board. Cohen will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Quantum X Labs, particularly in expanding its operations and commercializing its technologies for defense, aerospace, homeland security, and critical infrastructure markets.
QuantumQ Security's approach is innovative, focusing on integrating quantum mechanics into the core of the security infrastructure rather than merely adapting classical methods to address quantum-era threats. The program comprises three key technology programs: LayerQake, Qatacomb, and verification technologies. Each program is at a different stage of research, development, validation, and intellectual-property activity.
LayerQake is designed to identify anomalous activity and potential attacks, Qatacomb focuses on protecting the confidentiality of information, and the verification technologies establish authenticity, integrity, and ownership. Together, these technologies aim to form a comprehensive quantum-native cybersecurity platform.
Prof. Nir Sharon, Chief Technology Officer of Quantum X Labs, emphasized the significance of this approach. "Our objective with QuantumQ Security is not simply to adapt yesterday's security architecture to tomorrow's computers. We are developing technologies that explore how quantum properties themselves can become part of the protection architecture."
While the technologies are currently at varying stages of development, Quantum X Labs plans to continue advancing each independently while evaluating opportunities to integrate them into a unified QuantumQ Security architecture. The company believes this approach will be crucial in addressing the unique challenges posed by quantum computing.
