Quantum Cyber invites manufacturing partners for quantum-photonic antenna prototype development

Norwalk, CT, Sept. 04, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Quantum Cyber N.V., a Nasdaq-listed autonomous defense technology company, is expanding its efforts to bring its quantum-photonic antenna technology to market by inviting qualified manufacturing partners and research organizations to participate in the development of the first prototype. The call for applications was announced today, with a deadline of September 18, 2026.

Quantum Cyber secured the quantum antenna technology through an exclusive worldwide intellectual property license agreement with Project LightShift, Inc., effective June 11, 2026. The company is now looking for partners to help develop the technology for defense and national security applications, particularly for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operating in contested environments.

The application package, titled EX-QPA-RFI-001, is designed to gather detailed information from interested parties, including technical fit, work plan, budgetary pricing, security and export-control postures, and the requirements for converting the concept into a functional prototype. Companies that have not been directly contacted by the company are encouraged to apply.

The anticipated prototype scope includes feasibility assessment, process definition, design-for-manufacture review, fabrication and packaging, test and characterization, and the delivery of at least one operating unit with full documentation. Quantum Cyber aims to identify a partner capable of completing the prototype development within six months.

David Lazar, CEO of Quantum Cyber, stated, "Executing the Project LightShift license in June was our first public commitment that the quantum layer of our platform would be real. Today's call for applications is the second. We are actively looking for manufacturing partners and inviting them to apply. Our goal is to identify a qualified partner, deliver at least one operating unit, and demonstrate that a quantum-photonic antenna designed for resilient UAS communications can be built."

Quantum Cyber's Bridgeport, Connecticut manufacturing complex has recently moved from acquisition into operation. The company's first mini-interceptor drone was completed on-site, and its 80-unit 3D printing drone production farm is advancing toward commissioning. This prototype manufacturing effort complements the company's progress in airframe, propulsion, and domestic manufacturing.

Lazar added, "The production of the Quantum Antenna is intended to allow Drones to navigate and communicate on an alternative secure Quantum communication frequency. We are trying to solve one of the biggest obstacles on the battlefield today, which is building alternative technology for secure reliable Global Positioning System (GPS)."

Quantum Cyber N.V. is assembling an AI-powered System-of-Systems platform for drone warfare, counter-UAS, and border security applications, integrating autonomous UAS, counter-UAS interceptor capability, a licensed quantum photonic array technology layer, and a U.S.-based manufacturing footprint in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
