QSE Participates in European Space Agency Delegation to Expand Cybersecurity Presence

Quantum Secure Encryption Corp. (QSE) has expanded its European presence by participating in a Government of Canada-supported delegation to the Netherlands. The mission, which included engagement with the European Space Agency (ESA), aims to foster research and development collaborations in the quantum and space sectors.
QSE, a post-quantum cybersecurity company, was among nine Canadian quantum technology firms selected to join the delegation. The trip provided QSE with direct exposure to emerging security requirements and potential applications for post-quantum cybersecurity in future satellite and space infrastructure.
During the mission, QSE participated in discussions at ESA, focusing on Earth Observation project programs ahead of the European Space Agency Industry Space Days. The company believes its cryptographic discovery, migration planning, and quantum-resilient security capabilities could be relevant as space organizations prepare for post-quantum requirements.
Ted Carefoot, CEO of QSE, stated, "This delegation gives us direct access to organizations shaping the next generation of European space and quantum infrastructure. Our objective is to engage early, understand where security requirements are heading, and position QSE where our technology can address a clear operational need."
In addition to ESA, QSE engaged with organizations at the Canadian Embassy in The Hague and in Delft, including QDNL, House of Quantum, and TNO. These interactions explored potential collaboration in quantum communications, secure technologies, satellite applications, and related emerging technologies.
Carefoot emphasized the importance of these engagements for QSE's broader international growth strategy.
QSE's participation in the delegation underscores its commitment to staying ahead of the curve in post-quantum cybersecurity.
