QABA Launches New Supervision and Fieldwork Tracking System

News fromCourierPR · 1 min read

QABA, the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board, has unveiled a new supervision and fieldwork tracking system designed to enhance the documentation and transparency of the certification process for professionals in applied behavior analysis. This innovative platform aims to streamline the supervision and fieldwork requirements, providing a more efficient and user-friendly experience for both candidates and supervisors.

The new system allows candidates to connect directly with qualified supervisors through their QABA accounts, enabling them to document fieldwork hours as they are completed. Candidates can monitor their progress in real time, tracking their total hours, direct and indirect fieldwork, supervision percentages, and remaining requirements. This feature ensures that candidates are aware of their progress and can address any gaps before the certification process.

Supervisors will benefit from a centralized dashboard that provides a comprehensive overview of candidate progress. They can review monthly hours, request corrections, and digitally sign supervision records. Automated alerts will notify supervisors of potential issues, such as insufficient supervision, missing monthly verification, or hours awaiting approval, helping to address these concerns proactively.

Karen Dubon, Executive Director of QABA, emphasized the importance of this new system.

The new platform will create a continuous, verifiable record of supervised fieldwork, including digital signatures, timestamps, revisions, and audit history. This process reduces the administrative burden of documentation requirements for professionals pursuing credentials in applied behavior analysis. Once fieldwork requirements are completed, final verification can be completed electronically and remain connected to the candidate's QABA certification application.

QABA is committed to maintaining rigorous credentialing standards while providing responsive support to certificants, applicants, employers, and other stakeholders. The new system is part of QABA's ongoing efforts to improve the certification process and ensure that professionals in applied behavior analysis meet the highest standards of practice.
