PyroGenesis Confirms Tariffs Have No Material Impact on Operations

MONTREAL, Sept. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- PyroGenesis Inc, a leader in ultra-high temperature processes and engineering innovation, has stated that recently announced U.S. tariffs and procurement restrictions are not expected to have a materially adverse impact on the company's operations or financial results. The company's assessment is based on the current information available and its ongoing monitoring of the tariff environment.

The U.S. government has directed the General Services Administration (GSA) to take steps to remove Canadian-origin products from the GSA Multiple Award Schedules (GSA MAS), a procurement program through which federal agencies and other eligible government buyers may acquire commercial products and services. However, PyroGenesis has confirmed that none of these developments have materially affected its goods or operations.

For several years, certain machinery exported by PyroGenesis to the U.S. has been subject to a 10% tariff. Based on the company's review of the applicable tariff classifications and measures announced to date, the tariff rate applicable to that machinery has not changed.

Regarding the announced U.S. federal procurement changes, PyroGenesis does not currently supply goods directly to U.S. federal agencies, except in connection with certain U.S. Department of Defense activities. The company notes that universities and university research facilities supplied by PyroGenesis are not expected to be materially affected. While GSA MAS is principally used by federal agencies, state and local governments, and certain other eligible entities, such as public universities, may acquire specified products and services through the program. The effect on any institution should be assessed based on its eligibility, funding source, and procurement requirements.
