Pulsenmore Expands into Fertility Care with Home Ultrasound System

Pulsenmore, a healthcare technology company, has taken a significant step in expanding its women's health portfolio by completing the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) registration for its home ultrasound system, Pulsenmore FC, aimed at follicular monitoring in fertility care. This development marks an important milestone in the company's strategy to offer more patient-friendly care models.

According to data from the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), more than 1.15 million assisted reproduction treatment cycles were reported in Europe in 2023. Over half of these involved treatments requiring ovarian stimulation, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and fertility preservation, which rely heavily on repeated ultrasound scans to monitor follicular development and guide treatment decisions. Currently, these monitoring sessions often necessitate frequent clinic visits, which can be time-consuming and disruptive for patients.

Pulsenmore FC is designed to facilitate some of this monitoring in the comfort of the patient's home. The system includes an ultrasound transducer for self-use and a dedicated application, enabling women to perform scans at home with remote guidance from physicians or ultrasound professionals. This approach is intended to reduce the need for repeated clinic visits, allowing patients to maintain their work, family, and daily routines during intensive treatment periods. The system also offers privacy, as patients can conduct private examinations in the privacy of their own home.

A clinical study conducted at Rabin Medical Center among women undergoing IVF or fertility preservation demonstrated a high level of agreement between home ultrasound scans and in-clinic ultrasound examinations. Both patients and clinical staff reported high levels of satisfaction. The study, published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR), highlights the potential benefits of home ultrasound solutions in fertility care.

In Israel, the system has received approval from the Ministry of Health. In January 2026, Pulsenmore signed a commercial agreement with Clalit Health Services to establish a service based on Pulsenmore FC through Clalit NEXT and Beilinson Medical Center. With the European MDR registration now in place, the company is poised to market and sell Pulsenmore FC across European markets.
