PTX Metals Inc., a Canadian mineral exploration company, has resumed its exploration activities at its flagship W2 Copper-Nickel-PGE Project in northwestern Ontario. The company has initiated a 5,000-meter diamond drilling program focused on the CA1 Zone, an area that has shown promise in previous exploration efforts.
The drilling program, which is part of a broader exploration strategy, aims to advance the understanding of the mineralization processes occurring in the Central area of the W2 Project. The company is also conducting concurrent soil sampling and prospecting programs to refine existing targets and identify additional prospects. These activities are expected to contribute to the development of a more detailed geological model, which will guide future exploration efforts.
PTX Metals has maintained a commitment to respectful and collaborative engagement with First Nations communities in the region. The company has extended its exploration permit, providing regulatory certainty for the planned program. Over the past four years, PTX has actively engaged with First Nations communities, ensuring that local businesses and community members participate directly in the field programs. This engagement has included employment opportunities, local procurement, and community support.
Greg Ferron, President and CEO of PTX Metals, stated, "W2 is moving forward, both in the field and through the relationships we have worked hard to build. Our next phase of exploration activities is an important step as we continue advancing one of the most strategically located copper-nickel-PGE projects at the gateway to the Ring of Fire."
In addition to the exploration activities, PTX Metals has entered into a marketing agreement with DK Capital Partners to enhance investor outreach. The agreement, which is for a period of four months, involves organizing and facilitating meetings with investment advisors, portfolio managers, and accredited investors. PTX Metals will pay DK Capital Partners a cash fee of $18,500 CAD, plus 200,000 stock options exercisable at a price of $0.11 per share for three years.
The company has also engaged with another First Nation that holds Aboriginal rights to and over their Traditional Territory. This engagement, which took place on July 10, 2026, provided an opportunity for PTX to explain the early-stage nature of its work at W2 and discuss potential opportunities related to employment, training, and local business participation.
PTX Metals continues to prioritize responsible engagement with local communities as it advances its exploration programs. The company's objective is to create long-term value for shareholders while ensuring that its activities are conducted in a manner that respects and benefits the communities in which it operates.
