TORONTO, Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Prospectiva Resources, a Brazil-focused copper and gold exploration company, has announced significant findings from its ongoing regional gold exploration in the Borborema Belt, a highly-prospective but underexplored area in northeastern Brazil. The company is advancing two 100%-owned projects, Pico do Jabre (46 square kilometers) and Desterro (80 square kilometers), both located in Paraíba State.

At Pico do Jabre, recent reconnaissance sampling has returned promising results. Rock-chip sampling has identified up to 9.72 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, with additional results of 4.80 g/t and 4.22 g/t from quartz veins, altered wall rock, and material associated with historic artisanal workings. These findings are concentrated within a 500-meter target trend, suggesting significant exploration potential in the area.

Desterro, another early-stage project, has also yielded encouraging results. Sampling has returned up to 6.09 g/t gold with 867 parts per million (ppm) bismuth, and 4.58 g/t gold with 365 ppm bismuth, indicating a possible gold-bismuth association at multiple locations within an interpreted 10-kilometer-long ENE, WSW structural target corridor. The recurring gold-bismuth association suggests the presence of an intrusion-related system, though the mineralisation style has not yet been fully established.

Historical exploration by Yamana Gold in the Pico do Jabre area included geological mapping, 631 soil samples, and 237 rock samples, with selective rock-sample results of up to 20.49 g/t gold. This work covered only a small part of the broader licence package. Prospectiva's current sampling and geological mapping aim to build on these initial findings and identify quality drill targets.

At Desterro, historical exploration by Yamana Gold comprised 247 reconnaissance rock samples, but a programme of systematic soil-geochemistry was not undertaken. Selective historical results of up to 10.45 g/t gold occur at several localities within the interpreted 10-kilometer-long ENE, WSW structural corridor. Recent sampling has identified gold occurrences at several localities, with sample M580400 returning 6.09 g/t gold with 867 ppm bismuth, and sample AB-39001 returning 4.58 g/t gold with 365 ppm bismuth. Approximately 6 kilometers further west, samples AB-39021 and AB-39020 returned 1.21 g/t gold with 226 ppm bismuth and 0.84 g/t gold with 97 ppm bismuth, respectively.

The company plans to conduct a soil-geochemistry programme to cover the Desterro structural corridor, integrate this with geological mapping and representative channel sampling. The work will test the continuity of the Au, Bi anomalism, target oxidised vein margins, fractures, and altered wall-rock contacts, and seek to identify the bedrock sources of the mineralised float.

Overall, these findings underscore the potential for significant gold discoveries in the region, and Prospectiva is poised to build on these initial results through systematic follow-up exploration.
