Pristine Surgical, a leading manufacturer of single-use digital arthroscopes, has appointed Dr. Jeffrey S. Abrams as its new Chief Medical Officer. With four decades of clinical and academic leadership, Dr. Abrams will guide the company’s clinical strategy, medical education, and surgeon engagement as it expands its 4K single-use platform nationwide.

Dr. Abrams, a world-renowned shoulder surgeon, has previously served as the president of both the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA). He is also the Medical Director of Princeton Orthopaedic Associates, Chief of Shoulder Surgery at SportsMedicine Princeton, a senior attending surgeon at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, and a Clinical Professor at Seton Hall University. Additionally, he is a Clinical Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania and has edited multiple leading textbooks on arthroscopic shoulder surgery.

Dr. Abrams succeeds Dr. Stephen J. Snyder, who was instrumental in the design and development of Pristine's disposable 4K arthroscope. Dr. Snyder will continue to work with the company as an Ambassador.

"Arthroscopy has advanced significantly over my career, but the way we visualize the joint has barely changed," Dr. Abrams said. "A sterile, ready-to-use 4K scope for every patient is the kind of practical innovation that makes surgery more consistent and allows surgical teams to focus on the patient. I'm excited to help bring that to operating rooms everywhere."

Rich McKillop, CEO of Pristine Surgical, added, "I've known Dr. Abrams for 25 years and had the privilege of working with him earlier in my career. He is one of the most respected voices in arthroscopic surgery, and his leadership will be invaluable as we expand access to our Pristine Scope."

Pristine Surgical, headquartered in Palm Harbor, Florida, aims to simplify arthroscopy. The company's single-use digital arthroscopes are complemented by its Pristine Connect™ cloud-based software suite, which makes minimally invasive visualization more efficient, consistent, and safe. Pristine sells its products via subscription with transparent pricing and automated inventory management, delivering improved workflow and reduced costs to the endoscopy suite.
