PRF Technologies Advances in Healthcare and Energy Divisions

News provided byPRF Technologies Ltd · 2 min read

PRF Technologies, a biotechnology and energy firm, has made significant strides in both its healthcare and AI energy divisions during the first half of 2026, according to a recent press release.

In the healthcare sector, the company has achieved a crucial regulatory milestone with the FDA clearance of the Investigational New Drug (IND) application for OcuRing™-K. This clearance paves the way for a multi-center Phase II clinical trial in the U.S. for patients undergoing cataract surgery, with patient enrollment anticipated in the second half of 2026. OcuRing™-K is a bio-erodible intraocular ring designed to deliver ketorolac through a single intraoperative application, potentially eliminating the need for complex post-surgical eye-drop regimens.

Additionally, PRF-110, another product in development, has shown promising results in a head-to-head study. The formulation matched an approved, commercially available benchmark on 72-hour analgesic activity using a ropivacaine-only, NSAID-free approach. The expanded results demonstrated slower systemic absorption, enhanced local tissue retention, and sustained exposure, supporting the development of PRF-110 as a single-administration, long-acting post-surgical analgesic.

In the energy sector, DeepSolar, PRF's AI-driven platform, has made significant advancements. The company validated Predict™ using real-world European utility-scale production, weather, and market data. This key milestone positions DeepSolar to launch its platform, which has since been expanded with Battery-to-Revenue Intelligence, a feature that optimizes energy storage. DeepSolar also unveiled GridFeed™, a platform for renewable energy trading and revenue optimization, and is showcasing it at Energy Trading Week Europe 2026 in London.

Moreover, PRF entered into a commercial collaboration with Blade Ranger to pursue large-scale solar projects, targeting minimum scopes of 150 MW. The company is also generating revenue from commercial engagements, including a SaaS agreement with Shikun & Binui Energy at a 71 MW photovoltaic site in Romania and a due diligence engagement with EDF Power Solutions Israel.

Financially, PRF Technologies ended June 2026 with approximately $11.6 million in cash, short-term deposits, and cash equivalents, nearly tripling its year-end 2025 levels. This substantial improvement in cash reserves provides the company with greater flexibility to advance its strategic plans.

Efraim Cohen-Arazi, Interim CEO of PRF Technologies, commented, "The first half of 2026 was marked by significant progress in both our healthcare and energy divisions. The FDA clearance for OcuRing™-K and the promising data for PRF-110 in post-operative pain management represent important steps in our journey. In energy, DeepSolar's advancements, including the validation of Predict and the unveiling of GridFeed, underscore our commitment to leveraging AI to optimize renewable energy production and trading."

These developments highlight PRF Technologies' strategic focus on innovation and commercialization, positioning the company as a key player in the rapidly evolving healthcare and energy sectors.
