Precision Neuroscience Secures $250 Million in Oversubscribed Funding

NEW YORK, Sept. 24, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Precision Neuroscience, a brain-computer interface (BCI) technology company, has closed an oversubscribed $250 million Series D financing round. The round, co-led by Pershing Square Inc., the Ackman Oxman Institute, and an undisclosed leading life sciences investment fund, also includes participation from the Duquesne Family Office, B Capital, ARK Invest, Invus, Mubadala Capital, Mirae Asset Capital, Korea Investment Partners, Hitachi Ventures, JSL Health Capital, and others.

Since its founding in 2021, Precision has raised a total of $430 million. The company has built a robust clinical network, performing over 100 patient procedures across 18 major medical institutions, including the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Chicago Medicine, the Mount Sinai Health System, and West Virginia University’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. These procedures have been pivotal in advancing the field of BCI, with the company receiving FDA clearance for its Layer 7™ Cortical Interface. The device has demonstrated advanced BCI performance, including high-resolution neural recording across 4,096 electrodes and real-time decoding of intended movement.

Precision has also formed an industry-first partnership with Medtronic, integrating its technology into an established neurosurgical platform. The company has validated the performance of the Layer 7™ through peer-reviewed research, including a study published in Nature Biomedical Engineering and clinical work with Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Precision has enabled new neuroscience at partner institutions, such as a University of Pennsylvania study that used high-resolution recordings from Layer 7™ to produce a refined map of the human motor cortex.

The company has also taken significant steps in manufacturing, building end-to-end control of its electrode arrays through a wholly-owned MEMS manufacturing facility in Texas. Dr. John Donoghue, founder of BrainGate and a 2026 Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering laureate, has joined as a Scientific Advisor, further bolstering Precision’s leadership in the field.
