P.O.W.E.R. Honors Sarah Warden on Times Square Billboards

P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) will honor Sarah Warden, a lead preschool teacher at Little Hills Learning Center in St. Charles, Missouri, by showcasing her on Times Square billboards on September 23, 2026. This recognition highlights Warden’s dedication to early childhood education and her ability to foster a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Sarah Warden has been chosen as the 2026 Woman of the Year by P.O.W.E.R., a nonprofit organization that recognizes and celebrates high-achieving women across various fields. Warden’s commitment to helping children develop confidence, creativity, social skills, and essential life skills has earned her this prestigious honor.

Warden serves as the lead preschool teacher at Little Hills Learning Center, a school that caters to children from six weeks to five years old. She works across all age groups, fostering a welcoming and accepting environment. “We want every child to feel accepted,” Warden said. “Our goal is for them to develop the confidence to express themselves, socialize, be creative, and build essential life skills.”

Warden’s teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that “all children are gifted, they just open their gifts at different times.” She employs an individualized approach to education, recognizing and nurturing each child’s unique strengths while allowing students to learn and develop at their own pace.

Warden’s journey into early childhood education was inspired by her mother, who worked in special education for over 30 years and completed graduate school while raising Warden and her brother. Witnessing her mother’s dedication to both her family and the children she served shaped Warden’s professional path.

Later, while volunteering with her church’s preschool program, Warden discovered the profound impact she could have on children’s lives. That experience further strengthened her resolve to pursue a career in early childhood education. Warden’s dedication and excellence as an educator have earned her numerous honors from P.O.W.E.R., including being named Woman of the Year for 2025, receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award, and being recognized as a Top Educator and Woman of the Month for December 2024.

In addition to her educational pursuits, Warden is a recent graduate of St. Louis Community College, where she earned her associate degree in Child and Family Development in 2023. She is currently working toward a second associate degree in teaching from the same institution.

Warden’s achievements extend beyond the classroom. She is actively involved in the local community and enjoys reading, working out, playing with her cats, baking, taking long walks, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals in her spare time.
