MONTREAL, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- PME Resources Inc., a Canadian exploration and development company focused on the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project in Quebec, Canada, has successfully completed Phase 2 of its caesium testwork program in collaboration with Koch Technology Solutions (KTS), a subsidiary of Koch Inc. The testwork program, which was initiated in April 2026, demonstrated a compelling opportunity for a more simplified and selective processing pathway to produce a variety of high-purity caesium-based chemical products from the Shaakichiuwaanaan's pollucite concentrate.

The Phase 2 testwork program, which was carried out under a testwork arrangement with KTS, allowed PMET to leverage the latter's demonstrated capabilities in engineering, development, and commercialization of critical minerals extraction technologies. Following the successful completion of Phase 1 in July 2026, the Phase 2 bench-scale program advanced by KTS aimed to assess the application of their proprietary flowsheet technology, which uses highly selective media to significantly increase the selectivity for caesium, thereby reducing the impurity removal stages required for the production of caesium products.

The results of the recent Phase 2 testwork have successfully established the potential for a wide variety of caesium end-products to be produced by the KTS process, demonstrating high selectivity for caesium and a much-reduced impurity profile. Further work is required to validate the process through to marketable samples, but the confirmation of high selectivity for caesium using Shaakichiuwaanaan pollucite concentrate is a significant milestone in the exploration of downstream processing pathways for the resource.

KTS's proprietary technology could significantly simplify and lower the costs of producing a wide variety of high-purity caesium products from pollucite. The next phase of the testwork program, which is now being designed, will comprise a complete bench-scale proof-of-concept for the processing of pollucite concentrate from Shaakichiuwaanaan through to gram quantities of marketable caesium products, including caesium formate and caesium carbonate. This program will utilize a larger quantity of concentrate, targeting production from the ongoing BerryPick Program.

The Phase 2 testwork program is part of PMET's broader strategy to advance the potential of its globally significant caesium resource. The Company continues to evaluate downstream opportunities beyond pollucite concentrate production at site to potential "value-added" caesium chemicals, produced with strategic partners with chemical expertise to maximize value from its globally significant caesium resource. The KTS proprietary process offers an attractive and compelling process route for caesium extraction from pollucite concentrate into marketable chemical products, potentially capturing more economic value from the caesium resource. This program further develops the potential process pathway.

The Phase 2 testwork results have significant implications for the future of the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project, as they demonstrate the feasibility of producing a variety of high-purity caesium-based chemical products. This could have significant implications for the global caesium market, as the resource is currently supply-constrained and only limited sources supply the global market. The discovery at the size, grade, and scale of Shaakichiuwaanaan has the potential to be a primary source of supply for global markets over the long-term.

The Phase 2 testwork program is a crucial step in the development of the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project and represents a significant milestone in PMET's exploration and development efforts. The results of the testwork program have the potential to unlock significant value for the company and its shareholders, as well as provide a foundation for future exploration and development activities.
