Plantations International’s Malaysian subsidiary, United Tropical Fruit Sdn. The recognition, presented by Malaysia's Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Sabu, highlights the company’s innovative and technology-driven approach to durian nursery operations.
The award, which was selected from 398 industry participants, underscores Plantations International’s commitment to organic cultivation technology, agricultural research, and the development of commercial-scale plantation infrastructure. United Tropical Fruit operates as a specialist durian nursery and agricultural research and development subsidiary, supporting the Group’s Malaysian operations by producing premium planting material and developing advanced organic cultivation methods.
The MAHA 2026, organized by Malaysia’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, attracted a record 5.02 million visitors and approximately 2,000 local and international exhibitors. The event, themed “Value Creation for Food Security,” focused on modernizing agriculture through innovation, sustainability, and the development of higher-value food production systems. Plantations International’s award is a significant milestone for the Group, representing the dedication of its Malaysian team and the agricultural technology, expertise, and infrastructure that the company has developed.
