Pittsburgh Avere Cosmetics Launches Post Injection Gloss for Lip Fillers

Pittsburgh-based Avere Cosmetics has launched Post Injection Gloss, a lip balm designed specifically for use after receiving lip fillers. The product, developed over nearly two years in collaboration with a U.S. chemist, aims to address the gap in aftercare products for patients undergoing lip filler treatments.
Avere Cosmetics, founded by Alyssa Luciano, RN, and operating multiple locations in the Pittsburgh area, has seen a significant increase in demand for lip filler treatments. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, hyaluronic acid fillers, which include most lip fillers, made up about 30% of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures performed in 2025, second only to neuromodulators.
Luciano, who has worked as an aesthetic injector for about seven years and has treated roughly 10,000 patients, noticed that many of her clients left their appointments without a product specifically designed for the days following treatment.
The custom formula of Post Injection Gloss was developed to provide relief and hydration to the lips post-treatment. The balm comes in a 15 mL squeeze tube with an angled applicator tip, making it easy to apply. The clear shade is currently available, with a tinted mauve shade in development. Avere Cosmetics classifies Post Injection Gloss as a cosmetic and advises patients to follow the aftercare instructions given by their own provider.
The company's distribution strategy focuses on practices where lip treatments are performed. Avere Cosmetics is opening wholesale accounts for injectors, medical spas, and aesthetic practices. The launch follows a period of expansion for the Avere group, which now operates four offices in the Pittsburgh region, in Lawrenceville, Murrysville, Cranberry, and Fox Chapel. Aura Hair Studio opened on Butler Street in Lawrenceville in October 2026, and Maniküre operates studios in Lawrenceville and Blawnox. Post Injection Gloss is carried at all seven of the group's Pittsburgh-area locations and at averecosmetics.com.
