MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Premium Guard Inc. (PGI), a leading global manufacturer and supplier of automotive products and solutions, is set to relaunch the TRICO brand, building on more than a century of wiper innovation. The relaunch will kick off with the launch of TRICO ICE® in November 2026, strategically timed to precede the winter season. This new product is designed to deliver dependable performance in harsh winter conditions, ensuring clear visibility for drivers.
TRICO's history spans back to 1917, when the company introduced Rain Rubber, recognized as the first mass-produced commercially available windshield wiper blade. Over the decades, TRICO has accumulated extensive knowledge and intellectual property in wiper technology, vehicle applications, attachment systems, and installation solutions. PGI acquired TRICO's related IP, patents, engineering know-how, and technical assets, setting the stage for the next generation of wiper technology.
PGI's Founder and CEO, Anan Bishara, emphasized the company's vision to build upon TRICO's legacy.
The relaunch will be a comprehensive effort, expanding the TRICO portfolio in January 2027. This will include TRICO Exact Fit®, TRICO FORCE®, TRICO FLEX®, TRICO Exact Fit Pro (Installer Series), TRICO Exact Fit HD, and TRICO Silicone Ceramic®. PGI aims to use these products to create value for both the TRICO brand and its customers, helping them build and strengthen their proprietary brands and execute differentiated product strategies.
A cornerstone of the relaunch will be TRICO Exact Fit®, first introduced in 1995. Exact Fit was ahead of the market in recognizing that a replacement wiper should not simply fit a vehicle; it should be engineered for the specific application in terms of fitment and performance.
PGI will also build on TRICO's long history of adapter and attachment-system engineering to simplify installation across an increasingly complex range of original equipment (OE) wiper-arm configurations. At the same time, PGI is placing significant emphasis on rubber and material technology, recognizing that the quality of a wiper is ultimately measured by what happens at the windshield.
TRICO Silicone Ceramic® will serve as the technology flagship of the new portfolio, marking a significant advancement in wiper technology. The launch of TRICO ICE® in November 2026 and the subsequent expansion in January 2027 signify a new chapter for PGI, leveraging the rich history and innovation of TRICO to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry.
